COUNSELOR

With an educational background in anthropology and social work from Washington University in St. Louis, Bridget Leyendecker is naturally a person-centered provider. Passionate about the mind-body connection and personalized care, Bridget takes an approach to anxiety, grief, trauma, and other mental health conditions that involves not only talk therapy, but also body-based interventions. In her practice, Bridget incorporates elements of movement and meditation to help clients regulate the nervous system and strengthen their connection to the present. She draws from a variety of psychotherapeutic theories and techniques to individualize her care for each client’s needs and goals. Bridget is specially trained in EMDR therapy, which she uses to treat a variety of mental health concerns.

Bridget’s modalities include EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She also specializes in working with survivors of childhood trauma and intimate partner violence.

In her free time, Bridget loves to be in nature and dedicates time to fitness, dance, and nutrition — all elements she believes are a key aspect of both physical and mental health.
